Flynt still after Vitter

Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) has been layin' low since he admitted last month that he'd been a client of "D.C. Madam" Deborah Jeane Palfrey. But now the randy Republican has turned up someplace where he's a lot less likely to find hookers: Iraq. The News' James Gordon Meek reports that he was in the city of Taji this week "eating what looks like mystery meat in the chow hall of a U.S. camp for 1st Cavalry Division troopers." Meanwhile, Hustler publisher Larry Flynt, the man who pressured Vitter to admit to paying for sex, tells us his investigative journo Dan Moldea has "nailed down evidence that Vitter had sex [with prostitutes] on more than one occasion." Vitter has denied Flynt's claims that some of his New Orleans constituents serviced him.

The above-mentioned Matt seems to be arguing for the legalization of drugs and prostitution.
Drugs and prostitution? No way!!!

Vitter's words come back to haunt him.

Back in the early 1990s, when former Gov. Edwin Edwards was pushing gambling, young David Vitter used to say that EWE had made Louisiana "the laughingstock of the nation."

That line, repeated over and over in press releases during the period, came back to me last week, when a karaoke singer dedicated a song to Vitter: Stephen Stills' "Love the One You're With." The audience laughed and hooted.

An "airing" but not a hearing?

Senate leader wants 'airing' of Vitter scandal NOLA.com:

"WASHINGTON - The Democratic leader in the Senate said Tuesday the call-girl scandal that has engulfed Sen. David Vitter, R-La., should have 'a full airing' and noted that there is an open criminal investigation into the escort service that Vitter acknowledged calling."

There needs to be an ethics hearing on Vitter, not just an "airing." Reid should take a stand for Louisiana's sake, and for the senate.
