CajunBot, the spunky robot from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, was among 22 teams that qualified for the $2 million government-sponsored robot race across the Mojave Desert.
Team Cajunbot has spent the last week putting CajunBot -- built from a modified six-wheel amphibious vehicle -- through trials to prove the driverless vehicle could navigate a 2-mile obstacle course.
Twenty-one other teams did not qualify for the big race -- this is the second year Cajunbot has qualified.
