Why do all of our reps want to help out insurance companies, not the evacuees?

Over at The National Review, Louisiana Representative Bobby Jindal has penned a piece arguing that we should rebuild New Orleans with a model health-care system. Huzzah! Sign me up! At least that's how I felt till his first sentence gave way to his second, his assertions gave way to his argument, and his broadly acceptable goal became an obviously unworkable plan. Jindal, it seems, wants to bequeath New Orleans with a variety of private cure-alls ranging from consumer-driven health care (otherwise known as HSAs) to regulatory relief, and he thinks this'll somehow solve matters. As if what this country hasn't yet thought of is private health care.

Isn't Jindal the person who was supposed to have solved our health care problems long ago?
