Foti thinks there may be criminal actions in levee failure

The state Justice Department is reviewing the reports and findings of forensic experts with the Louisiana State University Hurricane Center and others who have been examining the floodwalls to determine why they failed, Foti said.

Foti's office is "still in the information-gathering phase," he said.

The Orleans Parish district attorney's office confirmed Monday that it also has started a preliminary investigation to determine whether a grand jury should be impaneled to look at whether faulty materials were used in the floodwalls.
Someone screwed the pooch on on the levees, and Blageur imagines there may be some anxiety among some in the Corps and in the construction trade. Criminal charges are not softball.
