Who's afraid of a bunch of teachers? Call out the Natiohnal Guard on 'em.

Is the mold causing some people to go paranoid. First Benson claims someone is out to kill him, now this:

ALGIERS – Four West Bank New Orleans Public Schools could reopen Nov. 28, members of the Algiers Charter School Association said today. Teachers will have to reapply to those schools.

Those plans are contingent on the state’s Board of Elementary and Secondary Education approval of the district’s charter application, which is scheduled to take place Wednesday.

The first ACSA public meeting held today in the auditorium of Martin Behrman Elementary School in Algiers drew nearly 200 parents, teachers and administrators. It was guarded by armed National Guardsmen stationed at the back of the auditorium, on the balcony, outside and in the doorway of the building.

Guardsmen said they were there at the Board’s request.

. . . . . .

“I gave up six jobs to come back to school to be fired again,” said Pam Blakesley, a sixth-grade math teacher from Eisenhower, who has taught for 20 years with the district. “This is devastating, absolutely devastating. I don’t think you understand what you’ve done to us."•

Top down administrating at the school board. With guns.
