Morning in Lafayette

It's still pretty calm here. Cloudy with some slight gusts of wind. We're expecting lots of wind this afternoon, in the 60-70mph range. That would give us the same sort of experience that we had from Lili. Right now I'm listening to WWL radio, with local tv in the other room. They are pointing out that Louisiana will take the brunt of the storm, especially the area around Lake Charles, which is Rita's target at the moment. Lake Charles will get the same sort of winds and rain that New Orleans got with Katrina. We've taken in the stuff that might fly around, and that's about all the preparations we can make.
