The power of repetiton . . .

I found this on a newsgroup -- I have to admit that I consider the writer a friend, and I am shamelessly stealing his letter to his congresswoman. Sometimes a fact bears repetition. Soueone should be shouting this in the ear of every congresscritter and all the members of this administration 24/7:

Dear Congresswoman Eshoo:

This Administration has shown that it cannot get
a bottle of milk to a starving baby in broad daylight.

Reporters are able to able to walk around and go where
they want, but the Administration cannot get a bottle
of milk to a starving baby until just before the
President is to make his grand tour.

I beg you to take a little time out from the difficult
grind of politics and the many issues you have to deal
with, and reflect on this simple fact. Please, think
for a while about the fact that this Administration
cannot get a bottle of milk to a starving baby.

This Administration, which has spent billions of
dollars to curtail our liberties in the name of
emergency preparedness, is unprepared to get a bottle
of milk to a starving baby.

This Administration, which has spent billions more
on an overseas adventure which is supposed to improve
people's lives, is so little interested in improving
people's lives at home that it cannot get a bottle
of milk to a starving baby.

Please, I beg you. Do not let politics, or the price
of gasoline, or anything else, drive from your mind
the fact that this Administration cannot get a bottle
of milk to a starving baby in broad daylight in
downtown New Orleans.

It is time for someone in Congress to get up and talk
about what's important, and refuse to stop talking
about it. This country will not survive another three
years of politics as usual. Someone has to speak up on
the floor of Congress and say that this power that
rules us is evil and must be stopped...no matter
what the consequences.

Regards,

xxxx xxxxxx
