On Blanco and the state of emergency: Stifle the Rumors with Facts.

Our thanks go to John Conyers, who has stated the case: Blanco acted in a timely fashion, and FEMA was authorized to work in Louisiana on the Saturday before the hurricane. He's he cites the relevent law, the facts, and asks the Congressional Research Service to find out who's right about the declaration of a state of emergency.
