Too Little, Too Late?

The Buffalo Cove project will focus on a 58,000-acre section of the Basin and serve as a test case to help develop further restoration programs in the swamp.

The $3.2 million project is an outgrowth of a Basin restoration plan developed in the 1970s. The effort languished until regaining momentum -- and securing funding -- over the past five years.
