The federal government has provided $12.8 million for DNA tests to help Louisiana authorities identify people killed by Hurricane Katrina, breaking a bottleneck that has left 270 people unidentified.UPDATE: I just did the math on this, and it's $47407.40 per body. Seems a little steep.
