Wash. Post: BellSouth, angry over Wi-Fi, withdraws offer to help NOPD

Hours after New Orleans officials announced Tuesday that they would deploy a city-owned, wireless Internet network in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, regional phone giant BellSouth Corp. withdrew an offer to donate one of its damaged buildings that would have housed new police headquarters, city officials said yesterday.

That's funny, my apartment (near Bayou St. John, of course) is finally habitable, but I spend more time elsewhere because of lack of phone, cable or internet service.

Anyway, wanted to comment on Boustany last night. Don't know if you recall his Katrina flip flop. you can find the link in my latest post. sorry for the plug, couldn't copy the original link in comment.

To me it just seems obvious that the GOP lost interest in reconstruction after it came under fire for patronage. That's actually factually indisputable. I may be committing the post hoc, ergo prompter hoc fallacy in connecting the two facts, however.
